Nexion Travel Group is looking for a motivated, outgoing Inside Sales Specialist based in Canada to focus on the acquisition of new travel advisor affiliates by converting inbound leads driven through various online and offline channels. The Sales Specialist will assist with driving leads to the pipeline by attending industry conferences and trade shows and by conducting recruitment webinars.

 

This position is home-based.

 

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas.  Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.  If the job posting indicates that the role is available for international candidate consideration, the salary range will be based on the local market for the country where the candidate would be working.

 

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales, marketing communications and leadership team to develop and grow the sales pipeline consistently meeting monthly and annual recruiting goals.
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Manage data for prospective agents in CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, accurate including related documentation.
  • Represent the organization through attending webinars, meetings, trade shows, and events with potential new advisors.
  • Answer potential customers' questions and send additional information as needed.
  • Nurture pending prospects towards further development and closure
  • Follow up with prospects to secure all necessary documentation for onboarding
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ inbound call center, sales, or travel agency recruiting experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for recruiting events and shows.
  • Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales and activity goals.
  • Ability to develop and foster strong client relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong active listening/qualifying skills.
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge and experience using Salesforce.com & Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Web-based presentation skills a plus, experience with online presentation execution preferred.
  • Individual must be highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Team player a must, commitment to team-based selling approach critical to success in this role.
  • Experience as a travel advisor with Nexion Canada or another host agency is a plus
