Th Vice President of Sales will identify and develop new business opportunities in the US and Canada, including but not limited to the recruitment of new Affiliate and Associate members of Travel Leaders Network, sell various profit oriented programs to the membership such as Empower Cruise and SNAP, TLN’s air program. This role will oversee and assign prospects to the Sales team for both Associates and Affiliates as well as the income opportunities. Strategically prospect new accounts making face to face presentations and through online presentations with decision makers.The position will manage the entire sales cycle for larger prospects and assists Sales team as needed with their own prospects. Responsible for overseeing and increasing the volume and market share by identifying, qualifying and recruiting travel agencies into Travel Leaders Network (“TLN”). Responsible for achieving annual sales goals as determined by TLN for individual and team goals.

 

 

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas.  Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.  The salary range posted represents the pay range for U.S. candidates.  If the job posting indicates that the role is available for international candidate consideration, the salary range will be based on the local market for the country where the candidate would be working.

 

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans and strategies to achieve TLN’s sales/recruitment goals.
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
  • Manage the Sales team and resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Attend and contribute content at TLN regional meetings, industry tradeshows, and EDGE
  • Define and oversee Sales staff compensation and incentive plans that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Develop infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions using Salesforce
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to leadership
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results
  • Must be knowledgeable in all TLN products and services
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10+ years of experience in Sales and Sales management in a travel industry
  • Understanding of global travel markets and customers
  • Track record of developing and implementing solutions that drive profitable sales growth
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional teams
  • Proven leadership skills and results oriented
  • Ability to manage diverse points of view and influence decision-making
  • Ability to evaluate the current business and develop new or different solutions to drive the business forward
  • Ability to evaluate earnings opportunities with prospective customers and ability to negotiate terms, as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with executive level colleagues, customers and partners. Ability to leverage this network to drive the business
  • Must be able to cultivate strong internal and external customer relationships
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Proficient in MS Office. Salesforce a plus
