Job Summary:
The Revenue Manager, Hotel Adoption is responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize hotel rate code preferencing and rate attachment within corporate travel programs. This role focuses on ensuring that preferred hotel rate codes are correctly implemented, visible, and accessible across Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Online Booking Tools (OBT), Hotel Booking Systems and direct booking channels, while increasing the attachment rate during booking processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hotel program management, rate code implementation, and corporate travel technology systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Rate Code Preferencing Strategy:
- Lead the strategy and execution of hotel rate code preferencing to ensure the correct rate codes are prioritized and accessible for bookings in GDS, OBT, and direct channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure the seamless implementation of preferred rate codes across all booking platforms, enhancing traveler compliance and cost savings.
- Conduct regular audits of hotel rate codes to ensure accuracy, availability, and adherence to negotiated agreements.
Rate Attachment Optimization:
- Develop strategies to improve hotel rate attach rates, ensuring that travelers consistently book preferred hotels alongside other travel components (e.g., flights, car rentals).
- Partner with travel consultants and booking platform providers to streamline the rate attach process, making it more intuitive and efficient for travelers and agents.
- Analyze booking behaviors and implement initiatives to encourage higher attach rates, enhancing overall program compliance and cost savings.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Account Management, Technology, and Service Delivery) to understand client needs and align rate code preferencing and attach strategies with overall business objectives.
- Partner with agency clients to drive awareness and adoption of preferred rate codes, offering consultative support to optimize hotel program performance.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Liaise with hotel division to ensure alignment on financial metrics and market penetration of Internova Worldwide rate codes in addition to maximizing the ALTOUR corporate hotel agreements.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Develop comprehensive dashboards and reporting tools to track rate code preferencing success, rate attach performance, and overall hotel program compliance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of rate preferencing and attachment strategies, providing actionable insights for program optimization.
- Present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership, clients, and suppliers to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Training and Communication:
- Provide ongoing training and support to ALTOUR travel agents, clients, and internal teams to promote the use of preferred hotel rate codes and increase the rate attachment rate during the booking process.
- Develop and deliver communication strategies that highlight the benefits of preferred hotel programs and the importance of rate code compliance.
- Ensure all stakeholders are informed of updates or changes to rate code preferencing and attach strategies, fostering alignment and collaboration.
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Analytics, Travel Management, Business or related field (Master's preferred).
*5+ years of experience in corporate travel management, hotel program management, or distribution management.
*Expertise in hotel rate code structures, preferencing strategies, and corporate travel systems.
*Proven experience in driving rate attachment initiatives, with a strong understanding of traveler behavior and booking processes.
*Strong analytical skills with experience in leveraging data to optimize program performance.
*Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with experience working with both internal teams and external suppliers.
*Familiarity with GDS systems, OBT platforms, and hotel sourcing technology.
*Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
