We are looking for an Event Project Assistant to join our bespoke events team based in our London location where you will assist in managing and executing event delivery for key clients.

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.

Responsibilities

To be considered for this Event Project Assistant role, we are looking for candidates that have a keen interest in an events career and may have had some previous experience either voluntary or working in an event function, and want to grow and develop in your events career.  You will have outstanding attention to detail, a can-do attitude and flare for creativity, as well as be tech savvy. You will be excited to gain experience delivering different types of events from incentives, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, meetings, product launches and team building as well as helping build client relationships, develop relationships with suppliers, while bringing a roll-your-sleeves up positive attitude to event delivery. This is an opportunity to grow and learn in this hands-on multifaceted, fast-paced role taking on more responsibility in time.



THE ROLE
As Event Project Assistant, you will work on all aspects of event creation and execution from researching, sourcing and distribution through to completion and execution supporting the team. Enhancing our client and customer experience by working creatively, proactively and thinking outside the box. Overcoming client challenges, providing solutions, developing relationships, and working consistently to deadlines with strong attention to detail, working closely with our experienced event team.

As part of your role, you will be required to track budget costs, and so must be confident with financials and numbers often in several currencies, but will be guided and supported in your learning. The ability to be able to work independently but be confident to ask and check when unsure, able to work well as part of the wider team on project deliverables. You will be able to demonstrate creativity from ideation to activation delivery from tablescapes, to menu design, to print design, to simple proposal creations.

Qualifications

  • Some previous experience in Event Management or proven project management skills.
  • Experience sourcing, researching and communicating with vendors.
  • Proven numerate experience within Microsoft Excel is a bonus.
  • Demonstrate time management, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to adapt a ‘can-do’ and flexible attitude.
  • A creative and organised mindset, and ability to prioritise.
  • Ideas driven and able to regularly bring new creative concepts to the team.
  • Previous hospitality experience with an above and beyond attitude.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team, but also thrive working independently.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to stay calm under busy circumstance.
  • Fluency in English is essential and being tech savvy is a bonus.
  • Proven experience with IT programmes such as Microsoft PowerPoint, and any graphic design programs such as CANVA is not essential but would be valuable.
  • Flexible to travel for onsite, globally as well as flexibility in the working week with occasional evenings and weekend events.
