Graphic Designer

This position will assist the art director in design, layout and production of Andrew Harper content in various print and digital channels, including the flagship monthly Hideaway Report, Collection guidebooks, Directory and Traveler marketing publications and other ad hoc projects as needed.

• Build and design page layouts as directed.
• Source images, illustrations, maps and/or video for publication and online content as needed.
• Choose and color-correct images for publications and online content.
• Prepare files for pre-press production.
• Create digital versions of publications and ensure production and posting of digital web content.
• Provide design support for ad hoc projects as assigned.
• Help manage the editorial system and digital asset management platform.

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in publication design, preferably in the consumer travel space.
• Experience in print production.
• Experience in digital publishing and content creation on CMS platforms.
• Sophisticated eye for design, typography, editorial photography, photo editing, and illustration.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional), MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and Mac operating system.
• Experience working with digital asset management (DAM) systems.
• Familiarity with proofreading and geographical terms.
• Knowledge of geography and international travel a plus.
• Technical troubleshooting skills a plus.
• Ability to travel upon request.
