Systems Engineer

Internova Travel Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our dedicated team of IT professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional IT services and support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining various IT infrastructures and systems, with expertise in Windows Server, Virtualization, Datacenter Hardware, Backups, and Cloud technologies.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the daily operation, security, and stability of our physical and virtual infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Server Infrastructure Maintenance: Administer and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructures, including VMware, HP dHCI, HP Nimble, HP StoreOnce, and HP Simplivity.
• Load Balancer Management: Oversee load balancers (Kemp) to ensure secure and reliable access to multiple websites and other computer resources.
• Backup Monitoring: Monitor and maintain Veeam backup jobs and address any issues that arise.
• Disaster Recovery: Update and maintain the disaster recovery environment (Zerto) and associated documentation.
• System Configuration: Configure and maintain computer systems, including Windows and Linux platforms.
• Security Implementation: Research, recommend, and implement new security measures, including regular patching, to ensure the highest level of protection.
• Problem Resolution: Collaborate with the internal IT team, developers, contractors, and third-party support personnel to identify and resolve complex systems, applications, and connectivity issues.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a business environment supporting physical and virtual server infrastructures.
• Proven Experience with Windows Server Stack, Datacenter Hardware, Veeam, Zerto, VMware, and Cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Proficiency in Automation Tools and Scripting Languages (e.g., PowerShell).
• Strong Understanding of cloud platforms and technologies, with a preference for Azure.
• Availability to participate in an On-Call rotation and work varying hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to complete project work and provide emergency support.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Proactive and Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
• Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in IT infrastructure and security.
• Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel to various domestic and international locations as required.
