The Business Continuity Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's business continuity and crisis management plans. This role involves analyzing business processes, identifying potential risks, and ensuring that the organization can continue to operate effectively in the event of disruption. This position reports to the Fraud and Risk Management team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan Development: Assist in the creation and updating of enterprise business continuity and divisional crisis management plans, ensuring they are comprehensive and effective.
  • Plan Management: Maintain detailed documentation of business continuity plans, procedures, and testing results. Collaborate with Information Technology teams to add and maintain synergy across business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring plans are maintained and updates are communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Testing and Training: Coordinate and conduct regular testing of business continuity plans, including tabletop exercises and simulations providing training to staff on business continuity procedures.
  • Incident Response: Support the response to business disruptions, including coordinating recovery efforts and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and contractual obligations related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data from tests and incidents to identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations for management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their critical functions and dependencies, collaborating with IT and other teams to ensure alignment of continuity plans.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers involved in business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.

Qualifications

 

  • Certification in Business Continuity (e.g., CBCP, MBCI).
  • Experience with business continuity software and tools.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and IT infrastructure.
