Your Event Solutions (YES) provides a unique opportunity for sales professionals with a proven track record of achievement in B2B event sales focused on the MICE (Meetings Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) market. The Sales Director will have responsibility for generating new business with key prospects in a contributor role. The candidate will sell the full array of YES products and services to organizations in specific vertical or geographic territories to win net new customers. The Sales Director will manage, own, and drive sales opportunities through strategic selling, effective negotiation, with goal being to close business.

Responsibilities

 

  • Uncover and qualify MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) opportunities utilizing various resources, CRM, LinkedIn, market research, industry events, personal network, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective management of internal resources to support new business deals.
  • Effectively manage the sales process, from identification to discovery to understanding client pain points to presentations, to negotiation terms to closing deals.
  • Thoroughly assess and qualify all leads and sales opportunities to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create tailored solution proposals that address prospect needs and outline a clear roadmap for future collaboration.
  • Participate in the creation and presentation of effective and efficient sales meetings and complete value propositions via the telephone, internet, webinar and face-to-face meetings.
  • Advise customer on ROI using business drivers while presenting product sale.

  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close sale as required.
  • Present YES products in a compelling, positive, and professional way.
  • Quarterback team selling environment – leverage available resources including operations, meetings management, marketing, and supplier relations to secure the sale.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the corporate events, incentives, professional meetings services, and/or travel related solutions to mid-market and large, complex enterprise organizations.
  • BA/BS in business, marketing, or equivalent preferred,
  • Strong and proven track record and history of carrying and exceeding a sales quota.
  • Driven, disciplined, hunter and self-motivated team player.
  • Highly effective communications skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
  • Verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Proven problem solver, with a high degree of curiosity and focus.
  • Ability to travel.
