The Business Process Support Analyst role provides business process and back office support for Nexion Canada Accounting operations related to supplier commission payments. Administers and executes processes, including checking, verifying, and maintaining accounting and commissions records, managing daily deposit information, data entry and input tasks, and external client support.  This position requires great understanding of the travel industry, commission management and interfacing on Trams. This position interacts with external Travel Agents and supports various levels of employees and must develop and maintain productive relationships.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily commission matching, recording daily deposit information and cash application. Commissions should be matched within a week of receipt.
  • Reconcile commissions to ensure all commissions are received and balanced, apply GST/HST portion of the commissions.
  • Research all discrepancies with travel associates and reconcile supplier commission payments in our back-office accounting system (Trams).
  • Assist with monitoring commission mailbox in Salesforce; Research and resolve customer issues & unmatched commissions or commission reassignments.
  • Support internal and external customers with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Perform data entry tasks, including maintaining an assortment of records in the various systems. Perform data reconciliations and reporting on member fees.

Qualifications

  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Knowledge of the travel industry is a plus
  • Accounting experience preferred
  • Travel Industry experience preferred
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision
  • Must be a self-motivated team player, organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to new assignments in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate with customers and vendors, both in writing and verbally, in a clear, professional manner
