Responsibilities

This role reports to a Luxury Leisure Independent Advisor for GTC.  The Luxury Travel Assistant will provide a versatile range of administrative support and basic booking support, while also becoming knowledgeable about the Independent Advisors travel business.

 

This is a fully onsite position in our Beverly Hills, CA office.

 

  • Prepare invoices, handles bookkeeping, manages spreadsheets, and creates other documents as needed.
  • Perform administrative support tasks such as emailing, downloading information, compiling spreadsheets, maintaining records, sort incoming emails and separate out leads into a queue to be actioned, and assist with maintaining Advisor’s calendar and schedule.
  • Learn basic booking techniques via the Sabre GDS (computerized network) for routine travel services, such as transportation, hotels, simple airline tickets, and car transfers to assist with client requests.
  • Prepare creative travel itineraries and proposals using the Axus application.
  • Update Advisor’s blogs and other social media sites.
  • Learn how to provide clients with international travel information, including requirements for processing passports, providing updated travel advisories, etc.
  • Review unclaimed commission lists and contacting vendors who have not yet sent monies due.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in the travel industry
  • Proven ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Must be willing to learn Sabre GDS
  • Detail oriented with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
