Responsibilities

The Marketing Account Specialist will be responsible for supporting a team of Account Managers, Sr. Director,
Director and VP of Partner Marketing in supporting Preferred Supplier marketing plan execution, administrative
detail. The Account Specialist will implement and execute B2B and B2C marketing tactics for Supplier Partners
focusing on messages to increase supplier revenue, exposure, awareness and education under the direction of
the assigned Account Manager. In this support role, the Specialist will assist the team on various aspects of
marketing as well as have ownership of select budgetary tasks, projects or package level Supplier Marketing
Plans.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Work with Account Managers to request feedback and direction from preferred suppliers to execute
marketing plan activities.
• Work with Creative and Operations Team members on the development of creative marketing materials
for respective Preferred Suppliers including print and online.
• Attend assigned partner meetings with Account Manager to align on strategic direction for partners on
upcoming projects.
• Act as support for Account Managers to cover timely tasks during vacation/out of office conflicts.
• Assist Account Manager with Agency/Member inquiries regarding Preferred Supplier products and
promotions.
• Route business to business marketing projects through internal creative pipeline.
• Schedule Advisor training opportunities with Educational Services Department.
• Assist Director with communication of programs to internal teams and Members to ensure engagement
and support including extranet updates, training calls, mailings and more.
• Assist with performing regular and period analysis of performance metrics for suppliers including
agency penetration, matchback reports, supplier offer and competitive analysis and other projects or
reports as assigned.
• Assist in routine weekly management and proofing of B2B email content.
• May include other departmental administrative or operational tasks.
• Support VP Partner Marketing, Sr. Director and Director Partner Marketing and Account Managers as
needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Budget Management
• Assist with budget amounts and manage all facets within the revenue/expense parameters.
• Assist Account Managers with program analysis and performance recaps for partners.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Tourism, Business Administration or equivalent (required)
• 3+ years post-college marketing experience
• Self-motivated with the strong initiative to work independently
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be extremely organized and able to work on many programs simultaneously
• Experience managing budgets
• Effective communication and/or sales skills with a variety of audiences
• Team Player
• Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, word processing, database and spreadsheet
software
• Experience in the travel and/or tourism industry a plus
• Experience in Account Management/Ad Agency is a plus
Budget Management
• Handle invoicing to travel partners and providing back-up and support materials as needed.
• Communicate with travel partners on past due amounts

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working.  Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. 

 

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
