Responsibilities

 

The Cruise Space Specialist will support the Senior Manager of Distinctive Voyage Hosts and assist in the Host program to recruit new Hosts including responding to inquiries and setting up interviews.

 

The Specialist will also communicate to the current Hosts to provide information including sailing assignments, documentation regarding their sailing, ongoing passenger count messaging, coordination of Host payments with the cruise line and ongoing responses to general inquiries. 

 

  • Distinctive Voyages Host Operations
  • Serve as secondary point of contact for over 500 Hosts, managing their assignments, engagement, and overall experience within the program.
  • Assist with recruitment and coordination of Host interviews
  • Communicates with Hosts, including:
  • Assigning sailings and updating Hosts on their status.
  • Ensuring signed contracts are linked to the appropriate sailing record.
  • Informing Hosts of available hosting opportunities.
  • Answering inquiries from the dvhost@travelleaders.com inbox
  • Ensure all necessary Host materials and onboard packets are sent in a timely manner (Host supplies: 30+ days pre-sailing; onboard packets: 21+ days pre-sailing).
  • Helps create the monthly “Open Mic” presentation to engage, educate, and support Hosts.
  • Assists with the distribution of monthly passenger counts, ensuring Hosts are informed and prepared.
  • Assists with the update of the Host Manual. Review and update annually.

 

Salesforce Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Host records in Salesforce, ensuring seamless tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely assignment of Hosts to sailings within Salesforce.
  • Actively participate in monthly Cruise Space/Salesforce Roadmap meetings, recommending and implementing program enhancements.

 

Agent Universe Management

  • Assist with maintaining and updating the Distinctive Voyages Host pages in Agent Universe, ensuring all program details remain current, relevant, and accessible.
  • Add Host Program information as needed.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the ongoing success and evolution of the Distinctive Voyages Host Program.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Industry Expertise: 1-3 years of experience in marketing, or communications
  • Communication & Leadership: Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail with strong project management and time management abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce, leveraging technology for streamlined program management.
  • Self-Motivation & Teamwork: Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently while also excelling in a collaborative team setting.
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel; up to 2-3 times/year.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working.  Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. 

 

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
