JOB OVERVIEW

 

This is a UK remote based role with required travel for client and team meetings.

The Vice President of Global MICE will play a critical role in steering the company’s MICE division towards expansive growth and seamless integration across global markets.  They will be responsible for delivery of all meetings, incentives, conferences and events across the Corporate Division globally. A key part of this role will be to manage the integration of the four MICE businesses and teams across the division into a single business, and to drive global operations.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership and Vision: Craft and implement a strategic vision for the global expansion and integration of MICE services. Lead the global MICE division, setting ambitious yet achievable goals.
  • Integration Across Services: Ensure the seamless integration of MICE services across different regions and business units, fostering synergy and enhancing the overall client experience.
  • Business Development and Sales Strategy: Lead global business development efforts, identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the operational execution of MICE projects globally, ensuring excellence, compliance, and alignment with the company’s standards and client expectations.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and lead a diverse team of MICE professionals. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders related to the MICE division. Ensure clear communication and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Innovation and Service Development: Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to innovate and expand service offerings. Stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs to maintain competitive edge.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the MICE division’s budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial performance in line with corporate goals.
  • Identify and execute on synergies through the integration process, and create a more efficient organisation.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Significant multinational experience in the MICE industry
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced leader with proven abilities in leading successful teams
  • Results oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to build and manage strong relationships with the team.
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Internal and External stakeholder management
  • Bachelor’s degree in discipline appropriate to the position 

Desirable:

  • 10+ years of experience in influencing and leading meetings and events projects
  • 5+ years of experience in an international environment preferred
  • English language proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build and leverage key internal and external relationships
  • Superior project management and coordination skills
  • Support communication and influencing skills
  • Strong skills in MS Office
  • Professional judgment, autonomy, diplomacy, and political awareness are required
