Responsibilities

Altour has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Corporate Travel Consultant to work with a leading patient transfer and medical travel client.  The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in patient care, offering the best-in-class travel consultation.  You will be responsible for quoting and booking accurate domestic & international, air, car, car service, hotel, bus, rail, and other specialty reservations for medical patient travel, ensuring all corporate travel policies are followed.

 

Hours needed are 10 AM – 7 PM ET or 9 AM – 6 PM ET

 

  • Service inbound medical patient travel requests.
  • Deliver extraordinary customer service to ALTOUR clients.
    • Greets all clients with enthusiasm.
    • Provide consultative service to travelers and travel arrangers throughout the booking process.
    • Complete all reservations in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring all corporate travel policies are followed.
    • Follow applicable guidelines around medical patient travel, including unique needs.
  • Secure the lowest air/car/hotel/other services rates available at time of booking.
    • Utilization of client and ALTOUR negotiated programs when applicable.
    • Utilize GDS low fare search capabilities.
  • Maintain goal expectations in the following areas:
    • Productivity – measured by transactions per month.
    • Quality – minimal customer service issues.
    • Customer experience – measured through call monitoring performance.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ travel selling experience.
  • 5 + years’ customer service experience, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Experienced in international travel bookings and process
  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM
  • Exceptional/above & beyond, proactive customer service approach.
  • Excellent travel industry knowledge.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow up
  • Mastery in Travelport+/Galileo GDS, GDS formats, short cuts, enhancements, pricing.
  • Corporate travel experience required.
  • Experienced handling of multiple accounts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to embrace change; adaptable.
