Responsibilities

Join our Social Media and Digital Marketing team in the dynamic and fast-paced travel industry. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting a variety of social media initiatives that contribute directly to the department’s strategic goals. The intern will gain exposure to project and timeline management, social media operations, business partner support, and performance reporting. By the end of the internship, you will have created a social media strategy and plan that’s measurable, contributed to the growth of new social media initiatives and outcomes that support the organization’s continued success throughout the year, while developing practical skills in digital marketing and social media.

 

This role is primarily remote but requires the ability to work from our Plymouth, MN office approximately once per week. Candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Content Creation

  • Create and Schedule Social Media Content including writing social media posts, editing images, videos, etc..
  • Develop a TikTok, Pinterest or User Generated Content idea from strategy to execution including content creation, social media analytics and performance, optimization, etc..
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect social media assets
  • Organize and maintain shared assets to ensure easy access for the broader team.

Social Media Support Items:

  • Manage Facebook Group Approvals and Engagement
  • Trouble shoot connection issues to Social Media Scheduling Tools
  • Review, grade, and monitor project submissions from program participants.
  • Manage participant communications via email for training programs.

Email Marketing

  • Write and send Emails that provide Onboarding Support to new members for social media programs
  • Support recruitment efforts for new training programs through outreach and onboarding assistance.
  • Recruit new program participants through calls and emails, providing education on program offerings and assisting with the application and onboarding process.

Support the Social Media and Digital Marketing team in other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be in college or a recent grad within the past 12-months with a focus on Marketing, Creative, Advertising, Communication, Digital Marketing, Writing.
  • Must be in Minnesota and able to meet in-person 1 day per week
  • Attend all meetings via Zoom Video – Camera On
