Responsibilities

 

The person in this role will work directly with our clients.  The receptionist will function as “traffic control” fielding calls and passing on information as quickly and efficiently as possible.

 

 

  • Use a computer-based phone system to answer calls and forward the guest to the appropriate people.
  • Send both scheduled communications and urgent reminders to the guests including but not limited to; Itinerary/ port changes, air changes, hotel confirmations, missing immigration requests, guest registrations, Jones Act violations, visa requirements, 30 days to sailing reminders et al.
  • Helping with seasonal work increases, for example holding groups and entering them into AgentMate, during new deployment.
  • Working with clients to address urgent needs and get them to the appropriate personnel.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Ability to use multi-line computer-based phone system.
  • Ability to use a scanner and edit scanned documents.
  • The ability to work well with people and have a great attitude.
  • Basic de-escalation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to utilize/ learn multiple computer programs, websites, and apps.
  • Ability to function in a past-faced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working.  Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. 

 

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
