Responsibilities

 

The Salesforce Developer is responsible for development of enterprise applications including Salesforce.com solutions. Conduct analysis of current business processes and information flows for systems development and configuration based on cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Liaison between business users and IT providers.

 

  • Develops design documentation for initial software implementation and maintains as software is evolved.
  • Expands ideas or enhancement requests from departments into technical documentation that can be executed by IT providers/developers.
  • Develops best practices for reporting in Salesforce.
  • Develops dashboards within Salesforce to provide quick and efficient measures of business goals.
  • Identifies information bottlenecks, redundancies and opportunities for automation of processes within departments.
  • Designs, documents and assists in the implementation of information systems and communication systems to support core business functions.
  • Develops and executes test scripts.
  • Assist with the design and creation of the underlying data structure and data flows to support the application build.
  • Designing and building web & mobile interfaces on the Force.com platform using Visualforce, Apex and other available tools.
  • Undertaking R&D, prototyping and are expected to actively participate in the Salesforce.com community.
  • Expertise in data modelling, data migration and both API and user interface development principles.
  • Strong understanding of triggers, controllers, scheduled, and batch classes.
  • Strong problem solving skills, should be able to research and understand an undocumented set up and application.
  • Works closely with other IT teams and leads junior SDFC developers in implementation of designs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent general experience, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: SFDC Technical Certifications.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to translate complex business scenarios into automated processes and business applications
  • Experience working with the following types of enterprise applications: CRM, CMS, ERP, CPQ, Portals, SSO, e-commerce, ESB/SOA.
  • Hands on expertise in developing applications on the Force.com Platform.
  • Advanced level of Visualforce, Apex, and SOQL knowledge.
  • Experience in building Web Service enabled applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of Salesforce APIs and hands-on experience with SFDC integration tools.
  • Experience in building and supporting migrations and integrations between Salesforce and other applications.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working.  Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. 

 

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
