Responsibilities

Altour has an exciting opportunity for an experienced meetings and events program professional!  The Centre of Excellence (CofE) Regional Meetings & Events Program & Technology Manager is responsible for the governance, administration, adoption, and continuous improvement of a global Meetings & Events program for a global chemical manufacturing customer. Acting as a key partner to leadership and stakeholders, the role oversees operations, user support, compliance monitoring, reporting, training, and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with corporate policies, governance requirements, and approved operating processes.

The role also serves as the primary owner and administrator of the Meetings & Events tool, currently Cvent, with responsibility for tool governance, user access, reporting, data integrity, workflow management, and system enhancements. Through data analysis, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, the role identifies opportunities to improve program adoption, compliance, operational efficiency, and overall performance while serving as an escalation point for tool-related and other issues.

 

 

Meetings & Events Program Support & Governance

  • Support the day-to-day administration and operation of the global Meetings & Events program
  • Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to support successful execution and adoption
  • Support governance activities, stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, and escalation management
  • Support communications and change initiatives
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of Meetings & Events operating processes and standards

Platform Ownership & Administration

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Cvent, including event templates, workflows, integrations, user permissions, and system settings
  • Maintain and continuously improve platform governance, data standards, and reporting frameworks
  • Oversee user access management, role permissions, and platform security controls
  • Act as the primary escalation point for platform-related issues, client requests, and enhancement requirements
  • Communicate platform updates, new functionality, and system changes to regional CoE Managers and program stakeholders

Training & Change Management

  • Deliver onboarding and training for US stakeholders and internal ALTOUR meeting planners
  • Develop and maintain training materials, process documentation, user guides, and best-practice resources
  • Support program adoption and change management initiatives
  • Promote awareness and understanding of program requirements, processes, and tools

Compliance Monitoring & Policy Support

  • Monitor adherence to Meetings & Events policies, corporate requirements, and approved operating procedures
  • Track compliance with preferred suppliers and approved sourcing processes
  • Identify, document, and escalate policy exceptions and non-compliance trends
  • Support governance reviews and compliance reporting activities

 

Supplier Program Management

  • Promote adoption of preferred suppliers and approved sourcing channels
  • Monitor supplier utilization, performance and compliance trends
  • Identify opportunities to increase program adoption and optimize supplier performance
  • Support supplier performance reviews and reporting

Data Management, Reporting & Analytics

  • Produce operational, management, compliance, and adoption reports.
  • Provide recommendations to improve program effectiveness and user adoption
  • Support KPI tracking and performance measurement.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years in Meetings & Events operations
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting event technology platforms, with significant experience administering and managing Cvent
  • Experience managing platform configuration, user administration, reporting, integrations, and technology adoption initiatives
  • Experience in driving organizational change, user adoption and stakeholder engagement within Global program, driving change and adoption
  • Experience supporting global Meetings & Events programs
  • Experience working in collaborative environments, building and influencing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across regions, cultures, and functions
  • Strong knowledge of Meetings & Events governance, sourcing, compliance, and operational processes
  • Experience in training, stakeholder engagement, and support models
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Proven experience in fostering an inclusive work environment and promoting team success
